Designed as a warm, nature-forward retreat for families and couples, this north-facing home basks in year-round sunshine and opens up to sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Karatara River valley and the Outeniqua mountains.

Equipped with high-capacity solar power and fresh rainwater, your stay remains entirely untouched by power outages, giving you seamless access to high-speed Wi-Fi and every modern convenience including your own, optional, private outdoor hot tub.

The property is accessed via a remote control gate and there is secure parking for 2 cars.

You will have daily visits from many of the iconic Knysna birds - we have a variety of indigenous trees which attract an impressive array of birds.

Entertainment: Quirky and contemporary books, giant Jenga blocks and full DSTV and smart TV - something for everyone.

The Main Deck: A massive, covered outdoor terrace, a 6 seater dining table, 2 lounging couches and featuring a gas BBQ all with striking river valley vistas.
The Garden Retreat: An open air, private wood braai area nestled in indigenous flora, featuring our optional signature wood-fired hot tub for magical evenings under the stars.
Scenic Spaces: Generous country grounds with multiple vantage points designed explicitly for birdwatching, reading, walking and slowing down.

There is also a separate 3rd guest toilet and a laundry with a top loader washing machine.

BEDROOMS

Master bedroom

The master bedroom is spacious and light with an extra length King-size bed.  Luxury 100% cotton percale linen and electric blankets are provided for your comfort.

The bedroom boasts a luxury twin bath as well as an en-suite, walk-in spacious rain shower and private toilet.

The sliding doors open onto a north facing sunny deck with magnificent panoramic views.

We use anti-allergenic pillows and there is a safe for your personal belongings. 

Block-out curtains, a suitcase support bench, and dresser with hair dryer are all part of the master bedroom’s offerings.

Second bedroom

The second bedroom has twin, extra length beds with 100% cotton luxury percale linen and electric blankets. These can also be made up into a king size XL bed on request.

There is an en-suite, walk-in over-sized rain shower and toilet.

The sliding doors open onto a north facing sunny deck with mountain and valley views.

Anti-allergenic pillows are provided as well as  blockout curtains, a suitcase support bench and a dresser with a hair dryer.
