Riverview House is a spacious, self catering holiday home set on a rural lifestyle property just 10 km’s outside Sedgefield in the Garden Route of the Western Cape. It features a hot tub and indoor fireplace, perfect for winter stays.

With magnificent views over the Karatara River valley and the majestic Outeniqua mountain range, this sunny north facing home offers comfort and functionality within a beautiful country setting.

Our spacious holiday house is perfect for families of 4, or two couples - with a large open plan living space spilling onto a sunny covered deck, 2  en-suite bedrooms and extra guest toilet.

A fully fitted kitchen, comfortable couches, fireplace, work-station and indoor dining area lead onto the outside deck. This area boasts panoramic views of the valley and beyond, another lounge suite and dining space with gas cooking facilities. A seperate braai/BBQ area is located to the right of the house, with a private wood fired hot tub to enjoy. 

We offer free WIFI and full battery and solar backup so load shedding or power outages do not affect us.

There are  2 nature walks on the property, a kids cycling track, trampoline and fenced ball game area for soccer, basketball or mini tennis. Please remember to bring along your sporting items.

For the mountain biking enthusiasts we have trails from just outside our gate into the forest behind the farm, as well as routes for all cycling levels at the end of our road into the Outeniqua mountains.

Bird lovers will be delighted with the amazing variety of birds who visit us - the famous Knysna Loerie, Kingfishers, Hoopoes, Drongos, Woodpeckers, Auriols, African Pigeons, Forest Buzzards, Owls at night  - and if you are lucky our Fish Eagles will come calling as well.

Important to note:

You will have visits from our dogs who are extremely friendly and social - they may visit and say hello. 

If you throw the ball for them you will have friends for life!!
